CUSTOMISED FOR YOUR ORGANISATION

Transition Coaching Intensive

WHY our process works & what to expect

Organisations often do technical onboarding really well, but most believe they are not supporting the human and strategic aspects of senior-level transitions as well as they could.

Lucent Transition Days support individuals who are likely feeling stressed, confused, and murky about expectations and how to get things done in those early days to feel more confident, strategic, and aligned with their key stakeholders.

Lucent Transition Days also support organisations that are concerned they are losing the strengths and diverse perspectives that they have hired for.

Our day includes an alignment process that:

♦ Makes sure hiring leaders have awareness of these strengths and the planning module makes sure that these strengths are built into the new team members strategic planning processes

♦ Give hiring leaders practical tools to support them bringing in new senior team members while building their own leadership skillset

♦ Help transitions go from slow, confusing, and stressful to purposeful, efficient, and rewarding – all round!

♦ Make onboarding quicker, reduce the rate of attrition in the early days, reduce the costs of lack of alignment and increase team cohesion (and therefore team performance)

Our Lucent Transition Days are an intensive coaching experience. This means you are 1:1 with your coach for 4 x 1.5hr modules over the course of a day (don’t worry - there are plenty of breaks!).

Transition days work through our three pillars of successful transitions and use a coaching approach to tailor the tools and concepts to the specific circumstances of the individual, the role, and the broader company that they are joining.

  • Data-driven self-reflection and definition of strategic goals

  • Trust-building and clarifying expectations

  • Goal-setting, documentation, and contingency strategies

Transition Day outcomes

  • Clear, 90-day plan

Individuals exit this intensive more intentional about how they want to be as a leader within their new role, and with a deeper understanding of the company stakeholders and how to best influence them.

  • Better alignment

Hiring leaders are more confident the new starter is aligned with their broader stakeholders, and better able to recognise and utilise the strengths and talents of their new starters.

  • Reduced attrition

Companies and business owners will see a quicker ramp-up time due to greater confidence, clarity, and robust planning
and less attrition in the early days with a new company.

Our evidence-based and practical approach means you get the benefit of the many theoretical perspectives applied to your unique environment.

But is it right for you?

LUCENT TRANSITION DAYS ARE BEST FOR…

♦ Companies that wish to support their new starters in a robust, strategic, and human-centered way

♦ Businesses who are hiring or promoting key team members and need them up and running, and aligned with their stakeholders (as soon as possible)

♦ Leaders who are bringing in senior hires and want to set their new team members up for success (and need them up to speed as soon as possible)

♦ Individuals who are making big transitions – joining a new organisation or taking a major promotion

THIS MAY NOT BE RIGHT FOR…

♦ Early career professionals (but just secretly, we have something for you too, send us an email if you want to know more about our early career accelerator days)

♦ Organisations that see onboarding as a box-checking activity

♦ Organisations that aren’t interested in leveraging their brilliant and diverse talent, but in building monocultures

♦ Leaders who aren’t willing to be part of the process alongside their new talent
